Renovations to this Tudor style home expanded the kitchen and breakfast area and included building a large new deck off the kitchen. Creating a plan that utilizes existing space rather than building an addition saved significant money. Removing a wall between the kitchen and dining room made both spaces feel larger together and eliminated the need for a separate breakfast table in the kitchen. The new peninsula in the kitchen has seating with views to the deck. The area that would have been dedicated to an addition became a new, large deck off the kitchen overlooking the rear landscaping. The deck is now one of the most enjoyed spaces of the home.

All the baths were updated, as well as the addition of a laundry to the second floor. The primary bath and dressing area were enlarged by removing a couple of walls and taking over a small closet. Now the bath has a double vanity, lots of storage, a private toilet room, and a large shower with a niche and a bench.

“We were thrilled working with Doug on every aspect of the redesign and upgrade across multiple spaces in our home (and there were many!). Doug would bring his vision (often including an alternative) and was always quick and agreeable to further modify as we worked through the creative process with him. His sense of space, functionality, and aesthetic were always super, the outcome was (and is) extraordinary, and we cherish our good relationship to this day!”
