A small 8’ x 13’ addition to this home was the key to a new layout for the first floor, which reoriented the kitchen away from being used as the hallway to the other living areas and contributed to creating a cohesive mudroom, family room, kitchen space. The mudroom was enhanced with a large coat closet, bench, and cabinetry to hide keys and clutter. The kitchen layout has island seating and room for many cooks in the kitchen.
The second-floor renovations expanded the primary bedroom to have its own bath with a long double vanity accent tile wall with mirrors and sconces. A hall study became a new walk-in closet off the bedroom and new built-in cabinets for hanging and folded clothes were built in the bedroom for additional storage.
